My sister and I dined at Oliver's last Friday evening. So happy to have an elegant casual restaurant in my QH neighborhood. The food was amazing and the service was even better! I love love love the decor and style of the restaurant; very Newport Coasty architecture style of restaurant. A lot of reviews complain about the price; we are in OC, (Irvine) and Oliver's prices are in line with any other elegant casual restaurant in the area. I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. Thank You for a great dining experience with my sis.

This place was delicious. Most Italian restaurants just make what I call salt and cheese- that's it- those are the only two flavors you can taste. This place understands nuance and flavor. Yes- there is lots of cheese, of course! The flavor and thought was there. It was clear in the presentation, quality and taste.

OC inspired Californian atmosphere. Both pastas were well cooked, and flavorful. Great setting with an outdoor patio as well. Recommend.

Going to keep this review short and sweet. Food: 5/5 Tastes like we are back in Italy. No joke. Service: 5/5 Very accommodating towards my autistic son. They knew exactly what to do to keep him happy. Brought out his food first so he didn't have to wait. Refilled water without having to ask. Ambiance: 5/5 Restaurant is very clean. Decor is charming and modern. If you're looking for Italian food in the Irvine area, highly recommend you give this place a try.

Beautiful restaurant with such a nice ambiance. Great place for a special night out. There's nice indoor and outdoor seating. Our server Gio was spectacular! We loved him! The menu has a really great selection of authentic Italian dishes. Gio didn't recommend anything and made us pick our own food bc he said everything is delicious and he works here because it's his favorite restaurant! We tried the calamari which was perfectly lightly fried, the Branzino which had such a fun presentation! We ended with a special birthday affogato and a song from Gio! Everything was 5/5!

Oliver's Trattoria was a wonderful dining experience! The service was consistently attentive throughout the evening with frequent water refills and regular checkins. My wife ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese and it was wonderful! Rich in flavor and not too saucy (true bolognese) and the pasta was cooked just right, so it was firm and not overdone. I had the Filetto di Branzino and this was an experience!. The waiter poured some type of alcohol over the Branzino and set it on fire. After about 20 seconds, the flame dissipated and then our waiter artfully filleted the fish at our table. The Branzino came with delicious crispy potatoes and spinach. The potatoes were fabulous. I could have eaten a whole plate of these delectible potatoes for my dinner!

Had a wonderful experience at Oliver's Trattoria. Everything was a perfect 5/5. Our server Gio was friendly and funny. We had a great time and enjoyed delicious food. Chitarra Pomodoro & Burrata - perfectly al dente pasta with a bright and fresh tasting sauce. Pizza from the Black Truffle menu - umami truffle flavor with a good amount of truffles and perfectly caramelized onions and savory cheese. Tiramisu - beautiful and tasty. Great ending to an awesome meal.

Oliver's Osteria is a relatively new Italian restaurant that opened in the area that has gained popularity for folks in my circle of friends. Its popularity is understandable not only for the location as the options for this type of cuisine is thin, but because of the great service and the wonderful lively vibe Oliver's has. On this occasion, I had a chance to dine at the bar. There were three very capable folks tending to customers and could not have been nicer or more helpful. The libation offerings were solid with unique creations and had a wonderful selection of wines that were domestic and imported. Lorenzo was especially helpful in this area and introduced me to a fine choice. For dinner, I decided to order a Hamachi appetizer and their Pappardelle Ragu for my entrée. All of the offerings were described in detail which made things much easier to select. The Hamachi was presented very well with citrus accents and micro greens and peppers. On the downside, I thought the portions were limited (yes, it is a carpaccio), but the flavor was not very noticeable beyond the wedges of citrus. A savory element with an introduction of fat could enhance this visually inviting dish. Not sure that I would re-order this item. The Pappardelle pasta was a step up from there. It arrived very well sauced with a generous blanket of shaved cheese. As noted on their website, the pasta was made from scratch and the ragu was given some TLC in its preparation as it was pretty deep in flavor. The only addition to enhance it was a slight sprinkling of red pepper flakes. This will be a "go to" dish for me for future visits. As I mentioned, Oliver's is a very popular dining destination for locals. It has a classy edge to accompany its refined menu options. I would rate the food as good with a rating of 4 and the service with a rating of 5. That said, I will be returning to enjoy some of the other menu items that others around me suggested I try in the future. Very happy to have stopped in and encourage you to do the same. So many choices I will need to come back many times. Staff are super attentive and our waiter was a gem. We dined as a party of ten and service was smooth as silk. One of the specials was wild boar ragu over pappardelle. I loved it. My wife went with the lasagna and it was a meaty joy with Bechamel as is the standard in Europe. For dessert we went with the classic tiramisu. Our other guests also enjoyed their meals. I ready to go back tomorrow.

We had a friend visiting from out of town, so of course we had to introduce her to the deliciousness that is Oliver's Trattoria! Service was terrific, and when we asked for our cocktails to be less sweet, the bartender delivered! We shared everything family style: Chitarra Pomodoro: a signature for a reason and you can really taste the difference with fresh pasta. This was our second time ordering it, and it was even better than I remembered! Margherita Pizza: sometimes the simple classics are the best, and this Margherita is no exception. Perfect pillowy crust texture on the edges, and a nice thin crust throughout most of the pizza. So delicious and we'll be ordering this whenever we crave pizza! Chitarra alla Gricia: a rich and creamy dish with spaghetti, crispy guanciale, parmigiano, pecorino romano, cracked black pepper. Really satisfying and savory! Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe: perfectly cooked rigatoni pasta with a nice chewy texture, and a delicious simplicity that allows the Parmigiano, Pecorino Romano, and cracked black pepper to really shine. Broccolini: we shared this as a side to round out our meal and it complemented everything well. Tiramisu: had to end on a sweet note and our guest thought that Oliver's version of Tiramisu was absolutely wonderful as well.
